LH and I headed out to the Welsh coast to this wonderful reserve which featured on a Springwatch one year. It was pretty empty, both of birds and people, probably because of the weather forecast of a bit of snow and also a bitter wind. But I was so happy and loved the sight of sea and the feel of wind. And LH so relaxed and cheerful was the best thing ever.

Back through snow flurries for a family meal out pre-celebrating LH's birthday tomorrow. We had an anxious debate with LD and LF about the Snow Situation and decided to go ahead. So pleased we did; lots of excited chat about their wedding and a first display to us of LD's engagement ring. Love our little family.

We did actually acknowledge that the snow might be an issue; we moved their car down the hill into the village, just in case ...
