Happy Birthday!

Dear LH had a wonderful birthday breakfast: croissants, coffee, birthday presents ... but, most importantly, LD and LF to be jolly and cheerful with. And birthday cake for afters :-D The candles somewhat overwhelmed the cake; as LF observed, no-one complains about more cake so, next time ... !!

Overnight snow meant they really needed to get out whilst they could, so they left earlier than we'd planned. A good tramp down the track with all their bits to reunite them with their car and then we've returned to a more leisurely day than anticipated. The fire is glowing, cups of tea at regular intervals, birds to watch and the gentle anticipatory pleasure of a nice Sunday roast later.

I think he's a happy chappy :-D
