Mam Tor

Well the view from Mam Tor to be precise. It’s been a busy day. With the weather mostly not playing ball. This blip was one of a very few taken not in the rain or drizzle. No computer this trip so just iPhone shots with basic phone edits.

Today we visited Ladybower Reservoir and the Derwent dam. Water was cascading over the top and running down the huge bolder slopes. Very impressive. The dam was used for training Lancaster crews during the war for the dam busters raid. From there it was off to Mam Tor before hiking back up The Roaches in hope of a sunset. Sunset never happened just more grey drizzle. Journey back to accommodation was interesting as thick fog reduced visibility to down to around 15 metres.
