Our route to catch the airport ferry yesterday

Fortunately this was taken about an hour before we needed to walk up this fondamenta with our cases to catch the ferry for the airport.  We enjoyed a walk in the sun while we were waiting for the time to leave, watching the postman being thrown his mail by a man in the boat who was delivering newspapers and mail and all the other antics of people coping with the flooded walkways.  By the time we left the water had subsided far enough for us to navigate an almost dry route by using the bridges and both sides of the canal.  In the end we arrived early at the airport and had a good flight home.  I do like the staff on Easy Jet, clearly they are happy and enjoy their job.  We encountered fog on our route home over the Woodhead pass (fortunately not snow at this time).  Though Steve our taxi driver was due to go back to Manchester to pick someone else up at 9pm.  I hope they all got back home safely.
