Catkins in the Wind

I have to admit to not going out today.  There is a bitterly cold wind blowing and we keep getting occasional flurries of snow.
So, this is a bit of an emergency blip, taken through the conservatory window of the catkins blowing around.
The birds seem to be back on the feeders now, I think they are hungry in this cold weather, lots of finches of various types, a thrush, blackbirds and dunnocks.
M and I have started our Toad Watch patrols for the year, but I think the cold weather has put back their breeding, there were no toads last night and only two the night before to take across the road to the pond (and one frog).  I guess Spring will arrive eventually, but it seems so be taking its time.
