What a lovely day:-

to Work

The Isle of Man Beekeepers are establishing a new teaching apiary in the centre of the Island.  The building you see is Marown old school.  The Primary School moved to larger premises many years ago.  The school gardens have become quite overgrown and rubbish had accumulated. This is the area in which the bee hives will be sited. Yesterday when we were doing this clearing work we had expected this small area  to be really exposed to the strong cold east wind.

Surprisingly however it was relatively sheltered.  It will be a few weeks before the beehives are transferred here.

Happily well all enjoyed a good supply of tea and cake!
