Breakfast after a post surgery check up

We stepped back in time this morning after my post surgery check up. Good news on my eye with the new lens, I went from 20/70 vision to a perfect 20/20 after the surgery.

The pictured, Joe’s Coffee Shop, is a tiny family owned restaurant in our town. It feels and looks like a step back in time. The breakfasts and lunch items are fabulous. Maximum seating, 11. Counter seating and two tables, one cook, one server, a married couple who run the shop that his grandfather started. I’ve been going there since the early 70s. I ordered a Special Omelet, one egg, mushrooms, ham, green peppers and sharp cheese along with half an order of home fries, a grilled english muffin, tomato juice and black coffee. Delicious, breakfast and lunch. T had the same, but substituted cinnamon toast instead of the English muffin.

For the Record,
This day came in cold and sunny. Nor’easter# 4 on the way for Wednesday night into Thursday. So much for spring!

Extra, the counter and cook/owner at work on our breakfasts.

All hands horrified by another school shooting.

. Breakfast and lunch!!!
