Tales of the River Bank VII

After the long (and in places flooded) stretches of the Thames Path upstream from Oxford last week, I'm back exploring downstream.  Today the relatively short stretch from Reading to Henley.

The river is much wider and calmer down here - and the paths (mostly) drier.  Picture taken at Shiplake Lock - one of several very picturesque locks along this bit of the river - I suspect they all look picturesque when the sun is out.

There is a wee blog post around, if you want to see more pictures from my meanders between Reading and Lechlade.
