Better Late than Never

Almost the last plant to flower in the garden is the Yucca, but certainly worth waiting for. Great sprays of creamy white flowers shoot from the centre of the mass of spiky green leaves.

Having said that there is little else to comment upon. Only the most masochistic and agile of herbalists could devise a use for the leaves and the flowers don't seem to have any medicinal or culinary uses. Although I have read that dried leaves are useful as fire starting fuel. Perhaps rubbing two yuccas together could obliviate the need for matches?
