T21

This week it's Downs Syndrome Awareness week, and we have all come to work today with our odd socks on to create discussion.

Our genetic have 23 pairs of chromosomes. Downs syndrome occurs when there are 3 chromosome 21's instead of just a pair.

I felt a bit daft with odd socks on, but I did find myself explaining to people what it was for. Many folks had heard of the 'odd sock' phenomena. 
So today being the 3rd month and the 21st day marks the middle of a great week.
