Weather approaching

Accompanied a friend who was doing a recce of a U3A walk up Skiddaw. Walked the long way around Lonscale Fell to ascend from the back. From the summit we descending initially before climbing again to Jenkin Hill and then onto to Skiddaw Little Man. By this point the winds were brutal and the weather was closing in so we opted, in the interests of safety,  to head down. Hopefully when we do the walk for real at the end of April I'll reach the top. The only bit of the walk not covered was the final half mile to Skiddaw summit.

Last week was a bit of of a right-off ... dentist, physio, two garage appointments and a heavy cold. I did walk in Mungrisdale on Monday but the weather was such that I was soaked and could barely see 5m ahead all day. I have at least caught up with entires for this week since Monday.
