American Kestrel

It was a busy day today starting with water aerobics this morning.  I finally remembered to bring my camera with me so I could get a shot of the Red-winged Blackbirds at the pond there.  I left early so I would have time.  So I got there and parked and got out with my camera and set up...and there was no card in the camera.  Drat!  After the pool, we went to pick up our trailer which has been stored on our nephew's land outside of town.  So I put a card in the camera and brought it along.  Luckily I spotted this Kestrel so he gets to be a Blipstar today.  :-)

Becky and Darrin are sad and their house seems empty but they are doing ok.  Chico was with them for almost 17 years of their 19 years together.  It will take a long time to get over losing him.  They are appreciative of all the lovely comments and good wishes from my blip friends.

I am grateful to my nephew and his wife for storing our trailer for us and saving us a lot of money!  Now it's in front of our house so we can start getting it ready for our trip next month.  :-)
