I went to Dawlish Warren this morning. It was a bit of a mistake, I'd forgotten about the road works with a convoy system which take an absolute age to get through. Coming away I was fortunate that the lights must have changed recently so I was able to get up to the junction and turn the opposite way to take another route home.
Dawlish Warren is a sandspit at the mouth of the Exe and last year they pumped tons of sand on it to raise the height and give more protection to the stretch of railway line that runs that way. Trouble is the recent storms came in and washed it all away again.
I liked this lump of wood that's been washing around in the surf and thought it worked quite well as foreground interest.
