Beach Clean

As part of my Lent war on litter in general and plastic in particular, I spent part of my morning with the Dorset Devils and a scout group doing a litter pick along the beach underneath Hengistbury Head.  Very pebbly and hard going.  We didn't find masses of stuff.  It's too early in the year for holiday makers to be throwing their rubbish around.  The worst culprits are nurdles: little bits of plastic which are swallowed by marine life and enter the food chain.
