Hadrian's Wall

A lovely (dare I say it?) Spring day, and we set off to look round Housesteads Roman Fort on Hadrian's Wall. The blip is looking east at the wall winding its way from Housesteads along the hill tops. Then we walked a very short section of the wall to the west of Housesteads (extras). Amazing views of the snow-covered Cheviot in the distance. Some dramatic skies but, by some miracle, we managed to avoid the heavy rain showers!

A nice meal at the Redesdale Arms on the way home.

ION - The first flower of the year on the Fuji cherry tree appeared today, over a month later than it flowered last year...
