The River Forth

It was time to return home today but not before we climbed Abbey Craig and scaled the Wallace National Monument, all 246 steps of it up a narrow, spiral staircase.  It was a beautifully clear morning and we arrived when the Monument opened, deciding to head to the Crown first so that we would have the 360 degree views from the top of the Monument to ourselves. 

This is the view of the River Forth meanders around the City of Stirling below.
