Common Enchantments

The wall

My friends and I had lunch at the Antique Mall Cafe before we spent three hours looking at the fine and not so fine things in the huge store.    We all ended up buying..I bought a big dictionary printed in 1977 so there are probably lots of words that are now obsolete.  My friend Sandra bought a couple of Blue Willow pieces to add to her collection and a tiny antique perfume bottle, Dianne bought a teacup and saucer which was the pattern of her Mother's china..she is pretty sure her sister inherited and she does not know if she kept the china or what.   Sweet memories of her Mom when she drinks tea or coffee from the cup.  Brenda bought two sets of old tarnished napkin rings..she is one to decorate her table for each season with special plates and accessories.   Melody bought two old old church hymnals..paperback variety from back in the 30s.   A really good day for us...and the food in the cafe was excellent.   Lots of laughs about getting old too!

This photo is the wall in the restroom opposite the "throne"!   The toilet is two steps up from the floor which is really strange!    You can read all these signs while you are occupied!  There are more along the wall in the "throne" cubbyhole too.    We all had a giggle about this!

A photo in the extra of my friends of 30+ years with me outside the store.  One of the clerks was nice enough to take the photo!  And she knew how to operate it!   These ladies worked with me and now we play together!
