Early morning on the Sardinero

The need to get out and get a sweat on was so great that I woke up at 6am wanting to go for a jog. Had to wait 2 hours for the sun to come up, but was amazing when it did.

All the way along the front, round the coast and along the sand to the lighthouse at Cabo Mayor, then back, running in the sand. It's a great time to go running - you see the city change, waking up, and getting going. As I left people were walking to work, the sky was almost black, and the streetlights were on. As I came back working life was in full swing, and the day had begun.

Fresh warm bread from the bakery round the corner for scrambled eggs, listened to desert island disks, before settling down to some work.
