A sure sign of spring!

Robins are not a convincing sign of spring in northeast Ohio because some of them hang around here all year. Not even bluebirds are a convincing sign. I've seen bluebirds in my back yard in December and January. However, when I see, or more likely hear, a redwinged blackbird, I know spring has arrived. On a recent chilly morning, I looked out my kitchen window and saw 12-15 redwings  feasting at the feeders. That's when I knew spring had arrived!

I chose the RWB pictured above for today's blip because it gives a good view of the meadow. Other pictures from this trail walk are posted here.
