Breathe in, everybody!

Since storm damage to Slapton Line closed the coastal stretch of the A379, traffic has been diverted to the narrow winding road in and out of our village. Look at this bus. Now imagine it meeting a school double-decker bus followed by this bus's counterpart coming in the other direction. Then add a string of cars behind both the single bus and the pair of buses and you can more easily imagine why we were delayed for some time on our return home from Kingsbridge yesterday (as described in my yesterblip).

Once the Easter holiday traffic is added - including coachloads of tourists - getting in and out of the village will become an even bigger nightmare.

On the good news front: I took these photos during Mr PP's 45-minute walk today. With his painkiller regime reduced it's not all easy going, but he is continuing a strong and determined recovery post hip-replacement.
