Wallflowers

Wet wallflowers, and a request.
Can anyone in the bird expert sub-group of the Blipperati identify the bird in my grainy blurred extra? I think it’s a Brambling. If so they’re pretty common I gather but I haven’t seen one before so it’s another one to add to our garden list.
