Atlas and Victoria

Sadly we came home from the Lakes today but we had a nice morning before we set off back down.

Went to Lowther Castle but the café was busy and unpleasantly noisy. The older I get the less able I seem to cope with noise, especially a cacophony of children crying/whining combined with the raised voices of parents constantly telling them off. Sorry if that sounds grumpy and mean.

Went to Larch Cottage at Melkinthorpe instead. Love it there and the coffee is fantastic. It was busy but not in a bad way. Defo going to have a pizza there next time, they looked and smelled wonderful.
