Lincolnshire Roadtrip!

Stamford

A cold, grey day spent dodging the rain (5 degrees!). But the weather didn’t stop us heading north on a roadtrip into Lincolnshire. First stop was Stamford to wander around the historic “stone town” and visit another antiques market (main photo plus 1st & 2nd extras), then on to Woolsthorpe Manor, the birthplace and family home of Sir Isaac Newton, where Newton, observing an apple fall from a tree, was inspired to formulate his law of universal gravitation (3rd & 4th extra). Final stop of the day was the 17th century Belton House (5th & 6th extra) where we toured the house, but gave up on a walk in the gardens, and a visit to nearby Grantham, as at this point the weather got the better of us. Instead we headed home across the flooded Fenlands...

(Sorry to have got behind with comments again, another long day. Will catch up with you all as soon as I can, but in the meantime, thank you for your kind comments, hearts and stars...)
