Looks Good To Me

A Cheerful Breakfast

Cynthia and I had heard great things about Homeskillet, a restaurant in the Sunnyland neighborhood of Bellingham. I seem to spend a fair amount of time in the area -- and no wonder. It's a mix of residential streets and businesses that include Hardware Sales, Trader Joe's, Avenue Bread, Kulshan Brewing, Bob's Super Saw Service, and our tonsorial establishment, Off the Top. All of these will be familiar to faithful followers of this blip. (Nice bit of alliteration there, eh?)

Enough digression! Homeskillet is just around the corner from Harmony Motorworks, where we were taking the Jetta for a minor repair first thing this morning. It seemed perfectly sensible, therefore, to have breakfast at the aforementioned Homeskillet.

It was easy to spot from a distance -- the exterior is just as brightly decorated as the interior. It would be a very surly person indeed who could walk into this place for the first time and not smile. Anyone who'd been then before would already be happily anticipating the hearty, delicious food. C has covered that subject in her blip. Don't read it unless you have just eaten, or have food near at hand -- it will make you hungry. Speaking of which, it's close to dinnertime, and I have some leftover pulled pork hash to deal with -- although C has been making noises about needing to have something healthier.

P.S. The jolly fellow in the red suit seemed to be stuck in the chimney. Bit early to be dropping in!
