Gently down the stream

Happy Easter

A busy day getting ready for our family get together, making up beds, tidying and, this afternoon, making chocolate brownies and peach and apple crumble.  The whole house now smells magnificent!

And of course creating enough floorspace for Hazel and Duke to run riot round the living room - oops!

So a very small blip outing to add this lovely periwinkle (Vinca major) to my list of wildflowers blipped this year.  I always forget that periwinkles are wild flowers, they seem so at home in gardens, but there they are in my field guide and growing in some of the wild and woody places down by the stream.

And with it I wish all those of you who celebrate Easter a very happy one  xx

2018Wildflower list to date:
snowdrops
gorse (or furze)
wild daffs
coltsfoot
primroses
blackthorn
greater periwinkle

PS: Don't forget, the still life challenge, #SLS19, finishes today.  I will give out hearts on Wednesday.  Thank you so much all of you who have taken part this month - Nickimags888, who began this excellent challenge, will take back hosting duties from tomorrow, with the start of #SLS20
