CannyScot's Day

Crail Harbour

A glorious, sunny day

I led the Easter Service this morning as we celebrated the risen Lord Jesus.

After lunch we drove south into Fife towards Crail, which is a beautiful East Neuk village. It has a very compact Harbour which provides a safe haven for the few remaining fishing boats. Although it was a beautiful day, we saw evidence of the power of the waves crashing against the outside walls of the Harbour. Indeed, several visitors got a soaking when the waves crashed over the wall.

After a welcome coffee we visited St. Andrews on our way back. The light was excellent and we enjoyed a great stroll round the 18th Hole area of the Old Course. I then surprised Eleanor by taking her into the Golf Inn Restaurant, which I had booked a couple of days before. She enjoyed an excellent gluten free fish and chips while I had a very tasty chicken breast stuffed with haggis - delicious.
