A late April fool

If this snow had arrived on 1 April, I might have understood it. As it is, a day later, it's perhaps surprising to see such a substantial snowfall. About 10 cms came down altogether - maybe even more in places.

We mainly watched it come down, as we went about our respective tasks today (mine was preparing a presentation for tomorrow and doing some reading), but mid/late afternoon we headed out for a walk,  repeating the same Sibelius Monument / Regatta potter we took yesterday with the girls (minus a stop at Regatta which was heaving, presumably with tourists). My album on flickr shows the differences between the two days. It was certainly more pleasant underfoot today with the fresh snowfall.

It should warm up again tomorrow, and is scheduled to be wet on Wednesday and Thursday. It will be interesting to see how long this lot stays put. Not too long, I hope.

All very quiet around here today. Quite a change!
