Mono Monday - Chocolate

The last few choccies from yesterday's relatively fat free family feast. I'm not a huge chocoholic, preferring savoury to sweet, but these were not bad.

I recall I was on retreat one week, with a bunch of other Druids, back at the turn of the century. One of the speakers regaled us on the ethics of chocolate, which ranged across the gamut of bad news from rainforest destruction to child slavery. Remember, Fairtrade was a relatively new concept back then. I went back to my tent with very mixed feelings, knowing I had a huge family size bar in my haversack! I didn't eat it.

The issues are almost as great today, and all the more more torturous because we know what we're doing and still we do it.
