Below zero

What's happened? It's still only October and we had snow last night. This morning there is still a dusting lying. With the backdrop of autumnal trees I thought this showed the confusion of the seasons - autumn and winter both at once.

I've been on the road for several days and not able to reply to comments, so I'll be catching up this weekend, and then back on the road again for another week.
