This is on the Mirador de la Casa Rosa in Calella de Palafrugell. The local council erected 24 of these steel picture frames, to celebrate "the centenary of the Costa Brava" whatever that means -- I'm pretty convinced this coast has existed for far more than 100 years. It turns out that it's actually the centenary of the first use of the term Costa Brava in a newspaper. Hmm. The tourist board was obviously pretty desperate for a promotional gimmick.

Anyway, it's clearly made for people to create picturesque views with a built-in frame. Judging by the angle of it, most people photograph the sea through it, but my blip assistant chose this colourful view of the village. I feel I should try to track down at least some of the others now.

Oh, and the casa rosa is pink, obviously, so this is tagged Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
