Life through the lens...

Linton Falls.

Amazing day.
After all the bad weather recently today was just fabulous.
Although only 1C when we set off from home the temperature was 12C when we started off back.
The blue sky in this photo is just how it was.
The falls were spectacular. ( Have put some more photos on extras.)
Our walk started out at Linton Falls. Then took us through Grassington village and up onto the hills. Some mud and some rocky paths, but always the blue sky and sunshine, which was a great backdrop for the dry stone walls, the brown grassy hillsides, and the skeleton trees.
The birds were serenading us, and the curlews calling above.
When we reached Coniston we turned back to walk along the river, which was high and running fast.
7 miles in total, but quite a strenuous walk.
How delighted we were to see an ice cream van parked up at the end of the walk.
Those cornets have never tasted so good!
Great company, wonderful weather, and beautiful Yorkshire countryside, made a perfect day.
