Only a rose.

Part of my Mother’s Day bouquet from our youngest son.
The roses, which were in bud, have opened out beautifully.

“Only a Rose”. Reminds me of my. Mum.
The song is from the operetta, The Vagabond King. 1925. Mum would have been 19 at the time.
It was always one of her favourite songs.
It’s funny how music brings back so many memories.

So my Mother’s Day rose is for my mum too.
