Montgomery Street Park mural

On a grey day in Edinburgh we turn to community murals to cheer us. Mr hazelh and I passed this one on our main mission of the day: to find some blue cushions for our 'new' sofa-bed. After visiting several charity shops and discount stores, we ended up making our purchase in John Lewis. This afternoon I also bought some material to make two small patterned cushions to go with these plain ones.

The great clear-out of my study continues. As predicted, we destroyed a whole pile of computer disks this afternoon, including a number that backed up my PhD.

This evening we are listening to Radio 4 Extra's tribute to Douglas Adams. Whenever they play anything from the Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy Mr hazelh joins in. He knows the whole text of the original radio series off by heart.

Exercise today: walking (13,559 steps)
