Blyth Harbour

The day started with reasonable weather, so Oliver and I headed down to Blyth, the area I used to visit as a child when my maternal Grandparents were alive. We headed to the port to see the ships, and walked out to the harbour entrance along a long boardwalk and had a chat with a chap fishing at the end.

The harbour is used quite a bit now for the renewable energy industry, with a number of ships in port related to supporting the offshore work. The ship in the foreground is a resupply ship, with a cable laying ship in the background.
