Special Offer! 2 for 1 'don't fire' t-shirts!

Well we are a little concerned about the approaching hurricane which appears to be strengthening so things could become quite interesting over the next few days. We have an offer of a lift to Boston after the orienteering event tomorrow so are hoping to get to Rog and Anne's, then it will all depend on how the storm develops and where it heads.

We've had another fun and busy day which began at the sprint event near Bethel, then after apple pie at Loree's Cookie House, we drove to Huntington State Park so that Tony and Becks could put out the controls for her event tomorrow. I meanwhile took a walk around the very pretty lakes in the area and chatted to canoeists, dog walkers and mountain bikers. Afterwards we stopped off en route home at Ferris Acres Dairy Farm for very yummy ice creams (I had Ba-Da-Bing!) and then when we reached home the kids spent some time securing the house in readiness for Sandy.

Because Tony and Becky were going off trail putting out the controls today they had to wear orange t-shirts so that they could be easily recognisable by the hunters in the area. This area is only supposed to be used by bow hunters but today Tony heard shooting in the forest so he was glad to be visible!
