Natural England is making major landscape changes in our local National Nature Reserve. This is to open up areas for conservation grazing which should preserve rather special wild flower areas which are at present in danger of being lost.

This involves some tree felling which, however much you try to explain the longer term benefit, causes great controversy and opposition from groups of local residents. They do not like change although our countryside is the result of management over hundreds of years.
