Day 2 .....

of the Greek Easter
In Greece this is Easter Sunday, after a very disturbed night / morning, I arose from bed to a sunny balcony where I sat and read having a cuppa until about 1.30pm when "M's" family arrived with yet another " feast"! We had hot and cold roast lamb Greek salad / tzatziki / pickles great bread and dessert of chocolate pie and baklava , phew !!! Food glorious food as Oliver Twist and co would have said.
The apartment is in Lomvardou ( view from the balcony) , after we had (devoured ) eaten the food we went further into Athens to Adrianou and Plateria Monastirakiou.
Blip shows the remains of the Agora and the Temple of Hephaistos , the temperature was 22/23c and seemed much higher as we were at a lower point and surrounded by buildings! The Rev needed to catch a train to the airport as he was travelling to Cardiff UK tonight, so we sat and had an ice cream , after all that meal too!!, before he left for his train . " O,M, K, and M's mum and friend " got a taxi back to the apartment to " just " chill !

The basket of hard boiled coloured eggs is a traditional game played after the meal on Easter Sunday , 2 people at a time " bash their eggs together which ever one doesn't break is the winner , this continues until everyone has had a turn then the winner is declared , quite a fun thing to do. ??? Then what to do with the eggs??
