Irlam Station

We visited Irlam Station today.  It's a fully operational station on the Manchester - Liverpool line, but it also houses a cafe bar (see extras) which services both the train station and the surrounding community.  It is a testament to time gone by, both for the railway and the local area, and is beautifully decorated in a 1920's theme.
It also has a number of murals on the platforms (see extras) by a local artist - Rachelle Cleary - who has also painted a house nearby.
