Heathrow

Backblipping on 9th

Being somewhat paranoid about getting there on time, in the end we were VERY early.

I've not flown out of Heathrow for many years. Most recent trips have either been from our little local airport in Norwich, which is so small that there are almost never any queues, or from Luton or Stansted which always seem frantic and really crowded. I was expecting a similar situation at Heathrow, but we were pleasantly surpirsed by how uncrowded it was. We were through security very quickly, and with minimal hassle. I always set off the alarm these days, of course, but the modern scanners soon identify the knee replacement as the cause.

This is our plane, viewed through the large windows as we were waiting for the gate to open. Very smooth flight - a little turbulance at times, but an excellent landing at Changi.
