Iris vicaria

A juno iris.  Leek-like leaves with elegant flowers in succession from the upper leaf axils.  Bulbous but with thick, fleshy storage roots that persist year on year.  From these finer feeding roots extend deeper in search of moisture and nutrients.  It's doing OK outside in a sunny, well drained raised bed.

Another dull day, less damp but still grey and quite cold.  A morning of admin seemed to achieve very little.  Not much to tell of the rest of the day.

Hoping for a brighter day tomorrow.
