Every Picture tells a Story

Today is Mono Monday, so my contribution.

I am continuing - and so far keeping up with - the online "one year with your camera" course. This week it's about going on a shadow safari.

Well, we haven't seen many shadows recently. And I've never been on a safari at lunchtime before. But here I am,  sun above, cheese and tomato barm in its bag in one hand, phone in the other, shooting a shadow.

No shadow was of course harmed in this exercise. Although I was rather fascinated by these shadows. How do big tree trunks become thin tree trunks in the shadowy world ?
