Negotiating

The water hazard conveniently placed just before the lambing field. A good test for motherly bonds. Another half a dozen lambs today. Had to lamb toffee our old Shetland the lamb was coming head only. She's so quiet I lambed her checked lamb was breathing and left her to it. Usually when we intervene we bring them into the maternity ward to bond as the ewes can be jumpy once you've been involved.

New calf from Goldilocks and no drama of getting stuck this year thankfully. Although we brought them in as the calf was struggling to latch on to her teats.

Excitement today as husband and I got a closer look at the strange bird about the lambing field. It's a hoopoe. Would you believe!
