Life from a City

Charlottenberg Palace

Today we visited the Charlottenberg Palace, part of a Unesco World Heritage Site, the Palaces of Charlottenberg and Sanscoucci. This was the home of the Prussian Royal Family. The palace was greatly damaged by bombing in 1943, but much has been restored. The opulence is staggering.

The gardens were lovely, some of the extras are the palace front, the stairs in the smaller Belvedere, part of the gardens, and a duck from the lake.
