Life in a Northern Town

Wessenden Head

Wow what day today, dare we believe that spring is actually here?
We loved the colours of the moss in the spillway from Wessenden Head to Butterly Reservoir. We didn't love the flies that were dive-bombing us so much.  It gave me an hour away from pensions and payroll - did me the world of good. Look large if you can, the colours seem to fade on a white background.

I'll put another in extras - you can't beat this part of the world on a day like today. All this a short hop out of town.

Dixon ice-cream on the way home. Perfect.

I am tagging this for this week's Experimental Photography challenge - 'vastness'. The extra qualifies better, but anywhere up on those hill tops serves as a reminder of the vastness of the world around us. Thanks as ever to Markus_Hediger for hosting.
