The Hive, Kew Gardens

This structure in Kew Gardens is a representation of a beehive. Inside there is an arrangement of LED lights which are linked to a real bee hive and flash/flicker as the bees communicate with each other. The installation has been carried out to emphasise the importance of bees for pollination.
