Black Lace.

The day looked as if it was going to be busy, prepping the Lodge, returning an unsuitable bit of kit to the caravan shop and general shopping.  So when there was a period of sunshine I nipped out from the cleaning and took a few shots round the Lodge garden.

Among the bushes we have planted is a Sambucus nigra "Black Lace".  This is a variety of the common Elder,it differs in that the leaves are very dissected (cut leaved) almost black and the flower is a pale pink.  The buds opening always interest me with the colour and the very fine strands of leaf.
