Plodda Falls

Near Glen Affric, the Plodda Falls are just upstream from the hamlet of Tomich, where the Abhain Deabhag plunges over a gorge. The experience of standing right out over the falls on the new viewing platform is a dramatic one. The former estate owner, Lord Tweedmouth, apparently changed the course of the river to improve the waterfall, so what we see is not entirely natural, though nonetheless impressive. A pity the picture can't capture the crashing sound of the waterfall in the enclosed space of the gorge.
