HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MR. HCB!

We had planned to go out
After church
To look for dereliction
But I decided that
As it’s Mr HCB’s birthday
Today’s Blip should be about him -
So here he is
On a seat with a view
Overlooking the Kennet and Avon Canal
And the bonus is
That there is a colourful barge 
In the background
Waiting for passengers. 
However, coffee and cake were calling
So off we went to a local farm shop
In search of sustenance
Then replete we headed off home
Wending our way 
Through the countryside
To end the day 
With a celebration meal - 
And trifle 
Provided by our lovely neighbour - 
Not quite as big as the one 
SweetArt made him in Hong Kong
But I’m sure he will enjoy it! 
Happy Birthday Mr. HCB
I know I’m in third position
From now on - 
May any slugs and snails
Be outside the fence
May your seeds and plants
Grow in profusion
And may you always
“Bowl this maiden over!!
