Waiting

Well it's just a matter of wait and see now. They have nicknamed this weather event 'Frankenstorm'. A cold front, a hurricane and a full moon are coming together to cause a whole lot of crazy!! We are as prepared as possible for this storm. The worst of it should hit sometime tomorrow. Right now it's windy and damp out with some light rain. Along the coast it's a different story...the ocean is surging and there is already flooding.
This part of the country is not really prepared for a crisis like this. It's been a real lesson in preparation and one that we should probably all know. To take away electricity/power and possibly not have clean running water is somewhat of a shock to a major metropolitan area. Since something like this has not happened in so long, most people do not think much will come of the hype. I hope they are right.
