Climbing the primrose path

The primroses were out in force along the side of Loch Melfort today and I couldn't resist stopping to photograph them. When I looked up the bank the clumps of flowers went up and up as far as I could see - thousands of them. I had to climb up the steep, slippery bank between the trees to have a closer look - see extra - though I almost regretted it!

Definitely my favourite wild flower - where the conditions suit it there's nothing to beat it!
